We are pleased to announce the list of the plenary speakers at the 14th general meeting of EWM.

The 2009 European Mathematical Society Lecturer will be Ingrid Daubechies, Professor of Princeton University, and she will give some of her EMS lectures at the EWM meeting in Novi Sad.

Jelena Kovačević (Carnegie Mellon University, USA), Marta Sanz-Sole (Barcelona University, Spain), Reidun Twarok (University of York, UK), Tatiana Suslina (St. Petersburg State University, Russia), Brigitte Vallee (CNRS, France), Nalini Anantharaman (Centre de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz, Ecole Polytechnique, France) and Barbara Lee Keyfitz (University of Houston, USA) have also agreed to give a plenary lecture at the meeting.

The list of invited speakers and the scientific programme is planned in collaboration with the Scientific Committee, consisting of twelve internationally leading women mathematicians, which has been recently established jointly by the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and EWM.
